Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor from America. She is best known for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick earned the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. After the seventh season Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13 in 2012. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
